About Marlie
Hello! My name is Marlie, and I am a certified Alberta teacher with several years of experience working with students from a wide variety of backgrounds and ability levels. I currently teach high school students in Rocky View Schools and have extensive experience helping learners develop their reading, writing, comprehension, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students who excel academically, students who struggle with literacy, English language learners, and students who simply need additional confidence and support. I understand that every learner is different, and I tailor my approach to meet each student's individual needs, strengths, and goals.
My tutoring services are available for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 and can include:

Essay writing and editing
Study skills and academic support

As a classroom teacher, I regularly help students strengthen their reading comprehension, analyze texts, improve writing structure, and develop effective learning strategies. In addition to my teaching experience, I have worked closely with students through coaching and extracurricular activities, which has helped me develop strong relationships with young people and understand how to motivate and support them both academically and personally.

Looking for a reading tutor for your child? I am a certified teacher with extensive experience working with students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
