• Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  I speak French because I was born and lived in France for 20 years.

• Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  I believe the movie "Camping" represents the French culture very well.

• Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

  The French culture is a lot about sharing. When we eat especially, it's a moment that we share with friends and family. We call it "l'apero".

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  It matters because this is my native language and I enjoy helping other people speaking it.

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  I believe the main difficulty is for the students to ask all the questions they need to understand and be confident learning. I make sure to create a safe place for the student, go at their pace and make sure they understand.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  I remember in language class, no one wanted to speak, afraid of being judged and that others will laugh. And I think I can help you improve your confidence to be able to combat this feeling.

• How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  When I was travelling to English speaking countries, I was making mistakes, people would correct me, and I would compare both languages. When they share the same logic and when they don't.

• What makes you a Superprof in language?

  Because I learnt to speak English, I understand how an English-speaking person can understand a new language and the logic behind it. I can then relate to the student and explain the common grounds and differences better between both languages.
