About Daishi
Hi, I'm Daishi.
I was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. I studied German Philology at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and had the opportunity to study abroad in Germany. I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia.
I have learned English, German, Italian, and French, so I understand how challenging it can be to learn a new language.
During my time studying abroad in Germany, I worked as a tutor at the university, helping many students understand the Japanese language and culture. I also volunteered in Japanese language classes for international students at a university in Kyoto.
In my lessons, I use original materials tailored to your level. Feel free to ask me any questions, or if you'd just like to chat to improve your conversational skills, I'm happy to help!
Aside from being a Japanese tutor, I am an artist specializing in digital illustration, sewing clothes, and embroidery. I also enjoy playing music, and I love coffee, movies, fashion, and op shopping. I'm passionate about indie music, so if you're into pop culture (both Japanese and Western), we’ll definitely have a lot to talk about!
