The method followed is that I teach the basics first, e.g., how to hold the guitar, basic theory to get started and then finger strengthening exercises.
I then teach chords and scales theory along with simple rock and blues song relevant to the scale, and then teach the method to make chords for a song that you heard on a record or a song you want to compose.
Finally I teach how to improvise.
