About Thomas
Kia ora,
No Tom Ahau. I am the current teacher of an awesome Year 5 & 6 class in Papamoa, in Tauranga. On a personal level, I enjoy golf, fishing and spending time with my fiance.
I am passionate about by teaching and have been since I started in 2012. I believe teaching years 1, 3, 5 & 6 has allowed me to gauge the learning capabilities and ages of all children at a primary school age.I have also tutored children in high school who are still working at a late Primary School Level.

Lessons are way to gauge prior knowledge and build upon what is already known. Using lesson assessment. I will be able t recognise the areas of learning that we need to focus on. Having previously tutored in the UK, I enjoyed working with the family to build s picture of what works for you and what your concerns/needs are.
Lessons will consist of a starter task to build confidence, warm up and for assessment purposes. A main teaching session with consistent and clear modelling. A task for your child to complete with support. There is also an option for me to supply linked homework for practice.
Lessons are 1 hour long and are aimed at any age 13 and below. I am able to cover the full range of the curriculum.
