About Vidia
Hey Everyone my name is Vidia and I am ready to be your vocal coach but first let me tell you a bit about myself.From the moment I discovered the magic of music at the age of six, my journey with voice has been a deeply personal and enriching experience. Guided by passionate mentors from around the world like Pandeli Lazaridi and Ignacio Clapes, I've cultivated my love for singing through the beautiful art of Bel canto.
Throughout my musical journey, I've had the joy of participating in various singing competitions and being part of choirs that have filled my life with melodies and memories. From the enchanting stages of operas like Carmen and Cosi Fan Tutte to the vibrant energy of musical theater productions like West Side Story and Grease, I've been fortunate to explore diverse musical genres that have shaped my musical identity.
In addition to my classical training, I have a strong background in rock and jazz vocals, allowing me to embrace a wide range of styles and techniques. My approach to teaching is rooted in helping individual students find their true voice and refine the talent already within. Whether you're belting out power ballads or scatting through jazz standards, I'm here to support you on your journey to vocal mastery.
As an alumna of the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, I've been recognized for my contributions to stage performances and orchestral percussion. My journey continued at UABC Ensenada, where I immersed myself in the world of Bel canto piano and lent my voice to the university choir.
With over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience, my greatest joy lies in sharing my passion for music with others. Currently collaborating with the Tijuana Jazz Collective, I'm dedicated to creating a supportive and inspiring environment where students can explore and express their musical talents.
Excitingly, I'm also in the process of writing my debut album, a symphonic metal collaboration that combines my love for classical orchestration with the raw energy of rock and metal. Stay tuned for updates on this thrilling musical endeavor!
