About June
With more than 5 years of experience tutoring students in Grades 1-12, I have learned how to communicate with my students and I understand the difficulties some students may experience in different subject matters. I am patient, and I love helping my students achieve their goals.
Although I am a Biomedical Engineer with the BC public health sector, I enjoy connecting with students and would love to continue to help students gain confidence in their English language written and spoken communication skills.

I believe that language skills can be improved majorly through conversations and reading. I was encouraged by my parents to read a lot as a child, and I noticed how much I was able to improve my writing skills and vocabulary. I will engage students in conversations and provide reading materials so that we can analyse and understand words and sentences that may be difficult to comprehend. For students planning to take either the IELTS or CELPIP exam, I will go through the exam format and questions with them.
I also understand that every learner has a different way of learning and I will always listen to my students to learn what works best for them.
