I am UC Berkeley Graduate with a Bachelors of Music. At school, I studied computer programming for musical applications, advanced music theory, music production, audio engineering, and piano performance. I have sold thousands of records on my own, garnered over a million streams of my music, and was recently been featured by Spotify as a "Fresh Find" artist in 2017. I have taught dozens of students over the past 10 years and many of my students have since achieved great success, releasing official remixes for artists such as Cher, and The Pet Shop Boys, to name a few.

Hello! I currently give lessons to students of all ages in Electronic Music Production in Ableton Live. I teach students all the necessary components to music production such as using software, audio engineering and mixing, music theory, song writing, and mastering. In essence, I simply teach students how to create the songs that they dream of. I specialize in techno, house, deep house, minimal, electronica, IDM, EDM, downtempo, chill, and indie electronic genres, but can teach most other genres as well.
In addition, I offer DJing lessons, teaching students the basics of great mixing, such as beat matching, mixing in correct keys, creative techniques, and overarching story telling through songs. I prefer to do lessons via screen and mic sharing, but I can also come to your home for a small additional fee if you are local. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions at all. I met Benjamin through a craigslist ad about a year ago. Since then he's vastly improved my ability to make great sounding songs. Coming from a classically trained background with little experience making electronic music, he showed me ways to effectively translate all the ideas in my head into real songs. He's a great teacher and I'd recommend him to anyone who is looking to improve their music production skills.
Benjamin has been giving me lessons on and off for the past 5 years. I started out unable to create a track that sounded good and now am fully proficient and confident in making the tracks that I've always wanted to.
