Hello! My name is Paven and I am an English tutor based in the United Kingdom
I have a strong academic background in English, achieving Grade 8s (A*) in GCSE English Literature and Language, and continuing to study English at A-level. I then went on to complete a Law degree with a 2:1 and I am currently studying for my Master’s degree.
I have always enjoyed helping others learn and build confidence, which is what led me to tutoring. I understand that learning English can feel challenging, so I aim to make lessons simple, supportive, and easy to follow.
I am patient, friendly, and focused on helping students feel comfortable so they can make real progress.

I offer lessons to people wanting to learn how to speak English, as well as students who need help with GCSE English Language and Literature.
In our first lesson, we will get to know each other and discuss your goals. From there, I will create a personalised learning plan tailored to your level and what you want to achieve.
For speaking-focused students, lessons include real-life conversations, pronunciation practice, and building confidence in everyday situations. I keep lessons relaxed and supportive so you feel comfortable speaking and making progress.
For GCSE students, I focus on key skills such as essay structure, analysing language, and improving exam technique in a clear and simple way. I have studied texts such as Macbeth, Animal Farm, and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, but my teaching focuses on skills that can be applied to any text.
I also provide optional homework, regularly test your progress, and mark any written work with clear feedback to help you improve.
