My name is Mignon but everybody calls me Minnie. I am a Bachelors of Laws graduate. My passion for language drives me to teach others the beauty of language and the worlds it opens for you. As a tutor, I always ask students to tell me about themselves during our first lesson. This is because of a well-known principle of teaching: you must know your students to plan lessons and teach them.
I attempt to understand the student's level of understanding, from there I know where I can begin teaching and aim to build up a student's knowledge. I always try to help in the same way I would like others to help me.
Afrikaans as well as English has always been my favourite subjects, and I have a deep passion and appreciation for it. I love helping students navigate their way through this language and learn new skills. I understand the way language questions are asked and I can help interpret questions and formulate answers.
