I am a Babson College student with a strong academic background in business, accounting, and math. I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. My approach as a tutor is to make math and pre-college prep feel clear, manageable, and less overwhelming. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts step by step, then helping students practice until they feel confident solving problems on their own. Instead of only giving answers, I like to explain the reasoning behind each step so students understand the “why” and not just the formula.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to see what the student is working on in class or what they are struggling with. Then, we review the key concept, walk through examples together, and practice similar problems until the student becomes more comfortable. For pre-college prep, I can help with study habits, organization, application planning, basic essay brainstorming, and building confidence for the transition into college.
What sets me apart is that I am a Babson College student, so I understand both academic expectations and the preparation needed for college-level work. I am patient, encouraging, and focused on creating lessons that match each student’s individual learning style. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more independent and confident learners.
