About Jordan
Jordan Harnum is a true son of Newfoundland. Born and raised in New Harbour, he learned the power and tradition of song and story from a young age. Jordan has always felt a deep spiritual connection with the act of performing on stage or on screen. His talents have brought him international with expedition cruise giants Adventure Canada and performing at events and festivals around Newfoundland such as Trails, Tales and Tunes, Roots, Rants and Roars, The Gathering and some acting roles in TV Shows Frontier and Hudson and Rex.
Jordan’s debut record earned him a nomination for Music NL’s Celtic Artist of the Year for 2018. The Boys Around The Bay was produced and partially cowritten by Glenn Simmons (The Fables, Wonderful Grand Band). The album has earned Jordan over 100,000 streams in total on Spotify with both the title track and “Feller From Fortune” are amassing over 28k plays each.
Jordan returned to his rural Newfoundland roots in 2021 and 2022 as the resident entertainer in Twillingate. The summer of 2022 seen him play over 100 2-hours shows from May 24th weekend through the end of the tourism season.
Through his residency, Jordan has been incubating a new collection of songs, including cowrites with Quote the Raven, Ronnie Power, Jeff Pittman, and Geoff Panting. He has an EP completed with Robert Kelly that is set to release this winter 23’ as singles.
He is currently working with Corner Brook producer Phil Churchill to bring a new full length project to life and plans to release his sophomore album in with his partner Joelle Sunshine as a duo album in fall ‘24
