About Leila
Hello,
I am a practicing artist working from my studio at Lewisham Arthouse where I also tutor from.
My work is primarily time-based, and includes moving-image, performance, installation and design. Please see my website for my work and artist profile: (concealed information)
My aim is to find out what is unique to my student and push them in that direction developing their creative confidence to unlock their potential.
My tutoring approach is tailored to the individual needs of my students - I find out as much as possible about them, assessing where they are at, their strengths, weaknesses, how they learn and what they are most interested in...
I offer support with but not limited to:
- Assembling an Art portfolio, GCSE/AS/A-LEVEL + practicing artist pdf
- Conceptual & Ideas development (to 'theme' in ref. to GCSE / A-Levels)
- Critical and Contextual Studies; where is your work located? References to artists working in the similar ways.
- Encouragement to experiment with a wide range of media.
- Realisation of Intention; How to refine your idea into this solid final piece
- Creative Confidence; How to shine and have fun with your work

I primarily teach from my studio at Lewisham Arthouse given my resources are there as well as a good amount of space for art-making. The arthouse is a fantastic and inspiring building filled with a multi-disciplinary group of artists. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and of all experience into my studio.
