About Sanika
I am a social designer with experience in management of culture and creation. I worked with a couple of international brands approaching the Indian art market. I understood the difficulty they face to build meaningful and renewable collaborations, that could serve both the brand and local artists. That’s how I founded Méli-Mela Talent Agency, as a way for brands to ease access to local artists, designers and craftsmen.
But, once a teacher, always a teacher. I have been teaching arts and crafts with Akanksha Foundation's creative pedagogy before starting my own business. It was centred on self-development and well-being. Organising creative workshops as a skill development activity. Documenting household economy in a fisherman village. Implementing art curriculum in the classroom with the constant enquiry of the civil society.
