Teaching Approach & Lesson Style – Yassin Ahmed
Teaching Approach & Techniques:
As an Arabic teacher with over 30 years of experience, I believe that learning a language should be clear, practical, and engaging. I use a student-centered approach, adapting my lessons to fit each learner’s goals, pace, and learning style. My method combines conversation practice, grammar simplification, listening activities, and real-life vocabulary to help students speak and understand Arabic with confidence.

I often incorporate visual aids, Arabic stories, real dialogues, and interactive exercises to keep lessons dynamic and effective. Patience, encouragement, and clarity are at the heart of my teaching philosophy.

Sample Lesson Plan:
A typical 60-minute lesson includes:

Warm-up (5–10 min): brief conversation or revision

New content (15–20 min): grammar rule, vocabulary set, or language function

Practice (15–20 min): speaking exercises, dialogues, or short readings

Feedback & correction (5–10 min): reviewing mistakes and highlighting progress

Optional homework is provided to reinforce learning and develop independent study habits.

What Makes Me Unique:

30+ years of classroom experience

Native Arabic speaker with deep understanding of both classical and modern Arabic

Proven success in teaching non-native learners from different cultures

Clear explanations, especially for grammar and pronunciation

Passionate, respectful, and committed to student success
