About Antonia
Currently studying a Bachelor in Science (Applied Mathematics). Previously studied a Bachelor in Social Science (Psychology). I have been tutoring on and off for the last 8 years. I have always enjoyed maths and enjoy teaching it even more. The best feeling is when something clicks in a students mind and suddenly everything makes sense.

I am friendly and personable so students will find ease in communicating their needs throughout the lesson. In my experience, sometimes we get scared to admit we don’t understand something or to ask a question we think is stupid so I believe it’s very important to make the student feel comfortable. I like to teach my students as if I am learning with them.
I am aware that we are all different types of learners so I will be open to whatever structure works best for the student and tailor my teaching style dependent on the student.
Before each lesson, I will make sure I gain a full understanding of what a student needs, their understanding of topics and what they feel they need the most help with. I believe I am a great tutor as I am able to draw from my experiences as a student and apply it to my lessons. When it comes to assignments, I will help them to easily understand and work through the problems by breaking down each section of the assignment. I am happy for students to contact me outside of tutoring hours if they are struggling on a question
