About Hues
I am young and relatable. I love the way music makes me feel, and I have spent my entire life getting to understand how it works. This wasn't always the easiest thing to do as my parents aren't musicians. I spent a lot of time checking obscure books out from libraries or downloading scores off of IMSLP to understand this all better. I want to share this knowledge with other people so that their journey is easier than mine. And as much as I learned from Chetham's and The Royal College, they could be unforgiving environments. I want to teach because I want to create a different environment, be an encouraging voice to people who are developing their personal relationship with music.

As musicians, our ultimate goal should always be to translate our inner world into a sonic creation. There is a lot to learn to achieve this, including harmony, counterpoint, polyrhythms, orchestration, and writing lyrics for the songwriters out there. I can tackle any of these technical questions about music making thanks to my education, but I routinely involve emotional questions throughout my lessons.
