Greetings! I’m Rex Alexander, an American English pronunciation and accent modification coach with more than two decades of experience helping adult English learners communicate more clearly, confidently, and naturally.
I work mainly with international professionals, advanced English speakers, medical personnel, entertainers, managers, engineers, job seekers, and anyone who feels that their ideas are stronger than the way they sometimes come across in spoken English. My coaching is practical, supportive, and personalized—focused on the speech patterns that will make the greatest difference for your listeners and goals.

My lessons are via Zoom, live, one-to-one online coaching sessions tailored to your speaking goals, current strengths, and the real situations where you use English.
We begin by identifying the areas that will have the greatest impact on how clearly and confidently you communicate. Depending on your needs, we may work on individual sounds, word stress, sentence rhythm, connected speech, intonation, pronunciation patterns, listening, and strategies for making your speech easier for others to understand.
Lessons are practical and interactive. You will speak often, receive clear and specific feedback, and practice new patterns in useful words, phrases, conversations, presentations, or work-related situations. I explain pronunciation in plain English and use simple, memorable tools—including the Color Vowel approach—rather than relying on complicated phonetic symbols.
You may bring your own material, such as a presentation, interview answers, meeting language, emails you need to discuss aloud, a script, or pronunciation questions. I can also provide focused practice materials and exercises based on your goals.
My approach is supportive but direct: I will help you notice what is happening in your speech, understand why it affects clarity, and build realistic habits through targeted practice. The goal is not to erase your accent or make you sound like someone else. It is to help you communicate with greater clarity, ease, and confidence in English.
Last but not least, my "secret weapon" is being a certified Level 1 Teacher in the amazing and revolutionary Color Vowel Method (developed by Karen Taylor and Shirley Thompson) which cuts through all the "mystery" of acquiring the sounds and rhythm of American English.

Details
My standard rate is $39 per hour. Most of my live one-to-one pronunciation and accent-modification coaching is delivered in focused 25-minute online sessions, which are ideal for concentrated practice, clear feedback, and manageable between-session work.
A 25-minute session is $20. I also offer 5-session and 10-session coaching packages for students who want a structured plan and regular practice. Longer 50-minute sessions may be available by arrangement. Please contact me to discuss the format that best fits your goals.
