About Alex
I am a geophysicist and have a degree (BSc. hons) in geophysics from the University of Bristol. This is a subject that applies concepts from maths, physics, chemistry and geology, to look at the natural processes that occur in and on the Earth.
I have a specific interest in geophysical surveying, nuclear physics and environmental radioactivity, and have undertaken major projects in all of these subject areas.
I specialise in teaching GCSE and A-Level maths and physics, but am also a subject expert in geophysics and geology, if you require extra support in these subjects.

If you feel you could benefit from some extra support in physics then I can help you. I am experienced in tutoring students of all ability at GCSE and A-Level, so please don't hesitate to get in contact.
My tutoring is based on building up the theory knowledge of a subject then going through past paper questions. This is the approach that best helped me when learning these subjects. In particular, for STEM subjects, practice questions are key to building the necessary knowledge to achieve the highest grade possible.
I use a combination of a laptop and iPad to ensure lessons are not just talking as I know this can be very tedious, but interactive and engaging. All you need for a lesson is access to a computer and a WIFI connection.
My lessons cost £35.00 for an hour lesson. I would recommend having one or two of these per week.

Alex is a great tutor, organised, clear and understanding. His approach to tutoring is a great way to learn: both going through theory and then putting it into practise with questions and past papers. I really struggled with GCSE physics and now it is one of my best subjects! I would highly recommend Alex if you are struggling with maths or physics.
I was really struggling with A level physics, but Alex’s tutoring really helped me. He is clear at explains things that I was struggling with and is also very friendly and enthusiastic. I would recommend him to anyone wanting an excellent tutor for maths or physics!!
Alex is a really great tutor, he helped to tutor me for my gcse maths and was a key part to me achieving a good grade. Furthermore his communication and explanation skills are very impressive and any student could learn a great deal from him.
