About Tinuola
Tinuola moved from London to New York in 1998. She certified as a Yoga teacher in 2015, after successfully completing the 200-hour training at Integral Yoga Institute in New York City. She then later certified as a Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga teacher and as well as a guided meditation facilitator. Since then, Tinuola has shared the teachings of Yoga with different communities & populations including high school students and seniors. The breath is the foundation of Tinuola's work. She encourages her students to initially connect with the breath before coordinating it with the mindful movement of Yoga. This connection then allows a space for healing. (concealed information)

Private in-person and online classes are carefully created to meet each student where they’re at. From their first lesson, it’s made clear that Yoga is about practicing more than anything else! Then over time, students are gently encouraged to explore and go deeper. A typical class tends to be slow-paced, giving time to understand how a student is feeling that day. • We begin with some simple breath work • and then continue to get into the body, focusing on various poses to stretch, strengthen, and relax the muscles, joints, and tissues. Pausing in poses is a large component in lessons in order for a student to feel progress. • We ease into each pose, considering modifications and the use of props • Each class ends with a period of rest where the entire lesson becomes integrated in the body and mind.
