About Hannah
Hi I'm Hannah! I've been teaching maths since I was 13, so I've got almost 10 years of experience under my belt. I previously worked as a Kumon instructor, and for the past 5 years I've tutored GCSE Maths one-to-one online, with my students consistently achieving grade 7 and above.
Qualifications wise, I achieved all 9s at GCSE and A*s in Maths, Chemistry and Biology at A-Level, and I'm enhanced DBS checked. I'm currently a fourth-year dental student, which keeps me disciplined and detail-oriented. It has also taught me a lot about building genuine relationships with people — something I bring into every lesson.
I'd describe myself as approachable and easy to talk to, so students never feel afraid to ask questions. That said, I can push you when it counts too! I truly believe every student can get to grips with maths — it's just about finding the way of explaining it that clicks for you.

I take the time to understand what really engages each student and which learning style helps them grasp maths most easily, then build my lessons around that. Together, we will set clear targets so progress is easy to measure and celebrate along the way. Sessions usually run for an hour, which I find works best — especially since students are often tired after school — though I stay flexible depending on their needs and energy levels. I'm a firm believer in homework outside of lessons to maximise practice, and we will reflect on it together at the start of the next session. I specialise in teaching at GCSE level and I'm familiar with all exam boards.
