I'm bright, positive, and believe in teaching with a smile and kind words! I think that students do their best when they are given positive reinforcement and encouragement.
I have been a certified Early Learning Educator at Kumon since 2017 teaching kids 3-18 math, reading, and writing.
I tutored a high school freshman failing Algebra I and brought his grade up by 36% so that he passed the class and could move onto the next level of math.
I have been a tutor for three years and am a certified Early Learning Educator at Kumon. I have also been a nanny for six years and so I have plenty of experience working with children of all ages and needs.
I was also salutatorian of my high school and took 11 AP classes.

My typical process is to first see what areas they struggle with the most. Then we can look at different worksheets or assignments that they have already completed and go through the problems or questions that they might have regarding the ones that they missed. After that, we can look at new assignments and try reteaching it.
I've worked with students from all ages and backgrounds. I have worked with students who have learning or other sorts of disabilities and need a little more guidance and attention. I have also worked with students who need less focus and just need a little more encouragement because they already know what to do but are just a little insecure about it.
I think that it is most important to find a teacher that you click with and can understand. Even if someone is amazing at a subject, it can be hard to learn from them if your personalities don't align or you don't understand the way that they teach. It is extremely important to find someone who can help you learn the way that is best for you, not for them to teach.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think that students should think about the best way that they learn and ask their teacher to help them do that. Kids are proven to have all sorts of different learning methods, such as audio, visual, or hands-on. If a teacher knows the student's learning method, they are more able to accomodate them.
