Matthew is passionate about music and a great trumpet player. He really cares about bringing out the best in my skills while playing and how to work on my weaknesses.

I am a sophomore in high school under Matt's guidance for the trumpet. Since beginning to recieve his lessons earlier this year, I have noticed a speed of improvement at my instrument that I never thought was possible for myself. His teaching style makes you inquisitive and has you THINKING about how to fix your errors for yourself, rather than just telling you. This is extremely beneficial to learn so you can improve on your own time as well. He's always positive, and extremely easy to be around too! Private tutors for anything can be very hit or miss, but his personality is radiant and optimistic, and it makes lessons so much more fun!
He also personalizes his lessons extremely well to you as a player. For instance, we work a lot on tone quality because that's the area that I as a player want to see the most improvement in right now.
I would definitely recommend Matt to pretty much anyone that is looking to have lessons. He's flexible in his schedule and he genuinely cares about his students and their improvement on the instrument. He's just awesome.
