About Shiona
My name is Shiona and I am from the beautiful country South Africa. I am 27 years old and I am a mum. I have worked as a waitress previously and I also worked in a UK-based call centre as a sales agent. I want to teach because I have a passion for teaching and I enjoy working with people. I also believe teaching opens up many doors and opportunities and I would want my students to be able to explore this without restrictions. I also enjoy learning about different cultures and backgrounds and teaching online allows me to have that experience.

I am patient, kind, fun. I have great communication skills and I am excellent when it comes to problem solving. I have an ear for listening and my teaching methodology is personalised to meet your required needs. I use TPR when teaching and my teaching is person-centred and positive. My lessons are for anyone who wants to communicate fluently in the English language as well as those who want to read and write. I have completed my matric and I hold a 120 hour TEFL certificate from TEFL Universal. The length of my lessons is between 30 minutes to 1 hour, it depends on how long the student requires my skills for.
