Taekwondo Classes near me With Fees in Secunderabad

Taekwondo comes from Korea, where it grew out of many centuries of local martial traditions.

• Ancient roots: Early Korean arts such as taekkyeon shaped the kicks and footwork used today.
• The name: Tae stands for foot, kwon for fist and do for way, which gives the art its name.
• Modern form: The name taekwondo was officially adopted in 1955, and Korean masters then standardised the style.
• Global spread: Millions of people now train in taekwondo, and it has been a full Olympic sport since 2000.

With a personal coach, you learn the culture behind the kicks as well as the moves themselves.

In Secunderabad, expect to pay about ₹525/hr for a taekwondo lesson.

• The teacher's background and competition record.
• The length of lessons and the package you choose.
• The lesson format (online, at home or at the coach's studio).

Many coaches offer package discounts for booking multiple lessons.

A taekwondo hall is called a dojang, which is the Korean word for a training space.

• Meaning: Dojang combines do (the way) and jang (place), so it literally means the place of the way.
• Etiquette: You normally bow at the entrance, then remove your shoes before stepping onto the mat.
• Layout: A dojang has a padded floor, mirrors and enough space for drills and sparring.
• Key titles: Instructors are addressed with respectful Korean titles such as sabeom-nim.

With one-to-one lessons, you can practise the basics before you join a dojang class.
