Taekwondo Classes near me With Fees in Mysuru

Taekwondo comes from Korea, where it grew out of many centuries of local martial traditions.

• Ancient roots: Early Korean arts such as taekkyeon shaped the kicks and footwork used today.
• The name: Tae stands for foot, kwon for fist and do for way, which gives the art its name.
• Modern form: After 1955, Korean masters organised the art into one clear system with set belts and patterns.
• Global spread: Taekwondo became a full Olympic medal sport at the Sydney 2000 Games, and it is now practised worldwide.

A one-to-one coach helps you understand the roots of taekwondo and build good technique from day one.

• The frequency of your sessions, whether one-off or regular.
• The lesson format (online, at home or at the coach's studio).

Comparing several profiles helps you find the best value.

A taekwondo hall is called a dojang, which is the Korean word for a training space.

• Meaning: Dojang combines do (the way) and jang (place), so it literally means the place of the way.
• Etiquette: You normally bow at the entrance, then remove your shoes before stepping onto the mat.
• Layout: Expect a mat or foam floor, mirrors for checking technique and room for partner practice.
• Key titles: The head instructor is usually called sabeom-nim, which is a title of respect.

A personal tutor can prepare you for your first class and answer all your questions.
