What is a Potential Difference in Basic Physics?
A potential difference in simple terminology means the amount of energy transferred between 2 points on a circuit. A voltmeter can be added to the circuit in parallel to find out the potential difference. The notation for measuring the potential difference is V=E/Q where V is the potential difference, E is energy, and Q is charge.
Types of Electric Current and Electric Circuits
Mainly, there are two kinds of electric current, alternating and direct. In direct current, the electrons flow in the same direction while in the alternating current, the electrons keep changing their direction.
