About Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics

SVKM was established in 1934 with the intent of providing school education to the residents of Vile Parle and nearby areas. 25 years later, the organization expanded into investing in college level education as well and the Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics was established in 1964.

Originally, the college had only a 250-student initial intake. It has since expanded to have around 5500 students enrolled each year. In 1964, there was just one B.Com course offered; since then, there have been seven more programs added, plus a post-graduate course with three streams under Mumbai University.

The college has produced numerous well-known industrialists, chartered accountants, actors, musicians, singers, stage celebrities, fashion designers, and athletes for the nation during the course of its 60-year history.
