  1. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for Law College and University Students

The human resources department of Higher Education offers a Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students. They award about 82,000 scholarships annually in an equal ratio to girls and boys. These are for different graduate, postgraduate college and university courses.

As per the criteria of the scholarship, families with less than 8 lakh income per year are eligible. The students receive 10,000 per year for graduate courses and 20,000 per year for post-graduation courses.

  1.  Scholarship offered to students from minority communities

This scholarship is awarded from the Minority Affairs Ministry on the merit basis of a student. The scholarship is given to more than sixty thousand students. To apply for the scholarship, the criteria is less than 2.5 lakh income per annum.

For tuition fee reduction under this scholarship, students in minority communities like Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Jain, Parsi, and Buddhist are eligible. The selected students are awarded a 20,000 scholarship per year or the fee of the course. Moreover, they are given an allowance of 500-1000 per month.

  1.  About the Aditya Birla Group Scholarship Programme

The Aditya Birla Scholarship Programme is an excellent scholarship for law students. However, students from select institutes such as Institutes like National Law School of India University (Bengaluru), WB National University of Juridical Sciences (Kolkata), NALSAR University of Law (Hyderabad), National Law University (Jodhpur), and Gujarat National Law University can fill the application form.

The scholarship application offers about Rs. 1.8 lakh per year or the fees for the programme considering whichever one is lower. For a law student, this may be the best scholarship in terms of the money that is awarded. However, the limited number of spots and specific institutes may reduce the eligibility and chances of selection.

  1.  Law Scholarships for Students by Quill Foundation

This is a Delhi-based autonomous institution involved in postgraduate research and advocacy. Under this law degree scholarship programme, students who have a good academic score can fill the application. The students must have at least a 60% score in class 12th. Also, the scholarship is for those who are financially challenged.

  1.  Fully Funded Science & Law School Scholarship

This fully-funded scholarship is for those who wish to pursue a law course from a top college and institute. The organisation offers scholarship awards for students who are below 1000 rank on QS world university rankings. These students have a chance to pursue a course at these law schools without paying the tuition fees.

Learn about the LLM Scholarships

As you know, LLM can be expensive; therefore, you will need to view your options to pay the fees. The source of scholarship fee may depend on your financial status, academic level, and geographical location. You may choose the grant and scholarship system by filling in the application forms for the law scholarship fees.

These grants and scholarships may be from the government or private bodies that support students. Some scholarship courses are awarded to the students with tuition fees waiver schemes. On the other hand, some of the scholarships are awarded in the cash prize form or given as a yearly allowance.

A student has to fill the available scholarship forms before the deadline and fit into the criteria that an organisation has set. Moreover, students may choose a national or an international scholarship for an undergraduate and postgraduate law degree.

These scholarships hold a lot of value for someone who is financially weak and has the talent to ace law exams. Some of the students may also benefit from grants and tuition fees that are specifically for minority religions and communities.

Moreover, some law schools offer scholarships based on the application for admissions and tests. You may contact financial aid offices to learn more about your options to pay the fees and be funded while studying. Some websites may also have a quick online application for possible scholarship funding.

Another way to fund your scholarship is to apply for loans. Although, unlike scholarships, you will need to pay these back in future. This is a suitable method to pay for your school and university if you do not meet any scholarship criteria but are unable to pay the fees.

There are several banks that offer student loans at different rates of interests. Make sure you read all the information about terms and conditions before taking the available student loan. Also, check both private and government options to choose the best one to fit your financial needs.

Furthermore, if you are applying for a postgraduate PhD course, the law school may offer you a part-time job for a few hours. This will help you support yourself financially during the law school years. The employment method to support yourself in the university will also add to your work experience on your resume.

Moreover, you will be able to learn legal terms better if you pick teaching positions in the university.

You may also ask the teacher any of your law school doubts, exam paper questions, and tests. In such cases, the students should be proactive about their studies and try to score well.
