About Yoannis
You might be a bit iffy about having me be your tutor because of my age, which is understandable. But I am here to explain to you why I am your best pick. First off, I came to the U.S.A 9 years ago when I barely knew English. My parents tried their best to help me out with my homework and school, but it wasn't much. This taught me how to be independent and excel in my classes, which is a big part of why I am good at what I do and know. Not only that, but I am taking classes (AP Statistics and IB Pre-Calculus) that are way further than what I really need, which shows that I am not just straggling by and meeting the minimum requirements, but that I am actually far above the requirements needed to tutor the classes that I offer tutoring for. So I hope I made you more confident in your choice when picking me to help guide you in those classes.

Mathematics (K-12) - I help out the kids by first understanding how they comprehend a math problem, which I then guide to allow for critical thinking to come into play, hence making their methods be more long-term than short-term memory. So that being said, the lesson plans will consist of practice problems which will be similar to the concept that your child may need help or guidance with. I am taking AP Statistics and IB Pre-Calculus, which shows how I am always trying to strive for above and beyond, which will also be the goal for the tutoring lessons. Algebra - To me, algebra is the most important foundation to have in math because it is always being used and constantly built on in future classes. The lesson plan for this class will be catered towards whatever the student may need help with, which will most likely be explained through practice problems and examples. I am taking AP Statistics and IB Pre-Calculus, which shows how I am always trying to strive for above and beyond, which will also be the goal for the tutoring lessons. Geometry - I liked geometry because it was unique and required critical thinking skills to be implemented. That being said, I will first have to, of course, see where they are at with key concepts like different theorems and proofs. Hence, the lessons will be catered to them according to their needs in different concepts, which will include practice problems and examples. I am taking AP Statistics and IB Pre-Calculus, which shows how I am always trying to strive for above and beyond, which will also be the goal for the tutoring lessons. Chemistry - I found chemistry to be more interactive and demanding than another science course. That being said, I know there are a lot of people who struggle with stoichiometry because of how you need to know what the numbers actually mean. Which is where I come in with examples and definitions to break it all down into simple concepts and build our way up to the desired understanding of the concept. I am currently taking AP Chemistry; not only did I already do this with no struggle, I am going further in depth into the concepts that I learned in chemistry.
