With only a few people participating, you should be able to do yoga in a decent-sized living room by moving some furniture around or even outside if the weather allows it. The Equipment for a Family Yoga Session
In terms of versatility, you’ll need to look at the equipment that you’ll need for yoga. Generally, a family yoga session will use much of the same equipment as a traditional yoga session.
For the simple reason that it’s the poses that tend to adapt. Some poses will be the same.
So what will you need to do a family yoga session?
- A yoga mat.
- Small weights, depending on the exercises you’ll be doing. The advantage of organising the lesson yourself is that you can use items around the house like bottles of water.
- Resistance bands, depending on the type of yoga you’re doing.
- Water bottles, for drinking this time. You and your child must stay hydrated throughout.

- And that’s pretty much it!
