About Macy
I have over 10 years of experience teaching singing, with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice. My passion lies in ear training, harmony, melody, and the incredible power music has to transform lives. I enjoy guiding students through a wide range of styles, including classical, pop, jazz, blues, and movie singing. My lessons focus on vocal training, music theory, sight singing, and performance techniques to help every student grow confidently. I work with school students, college learners, and aspiring professionals, tailoring each lesson to fit their unique goals. My singing methodology focuses on developing musicality, pitch control, and emotional expression tailored to each student’s needs. For advanced teens, I emphasize vocal flexibility and building confidence to perform a wide range of songs with feeling. Quartet players work on blending and harmony, adapting their voices to fit different parts while maintaining strong pitch accuracy.
Both personas practice breath control and dynamic expression to bring songs to life. We use metronomes to improve timing and vocal apps to monitor pitch and progress in real time. Digital audio workstations (DAWs) help students record and listen back, which builds self-awareness and encourages growth.
I encourage experimenting with various genres, helping singers adapt their style while staying true to their voice. Regular exercises focus on smooth transitions between notes and emotional connection to lyrics. Lessons are practical, goal-oriented, and designed to motivate consistent improvement.
By combining technology with traditional vocal training, students gain tools to track progress and build confidence. My approach ensures each singer becomes more expressive and versatile, ready to perform with skill and passion.
