Why My Rate is $15/hour:

Expertise & Training – I am trained in Structured Literacy, a research-based approach proven to support students in reading and writing. My methods are designed for all learners, including those who struggle with traditional instruction.

Personalized Instruction – Each session is tailored to your child’s specific needs, based on ongoing assessments. I don’t use one-size-fits-all worksheets; I create targeted lessons to close gaps and build confidence.

Assessment & Progress Tracking – The hourly rate includes initial and ongoing assessments, data tracking, and progress reports so you can see exactly how your child is improving.

Preparation Outside of Sessions – I spend time outside of each session preparing individualized materials, reviewing progress, and planning the next steps—work that goes beyond the hour we meet.

Accessible & Affordable – At $15/hour, this is a budget-friendly rate for high-quality, structured, virtual tutoring. Many tutors with similar expertise charge $25–$50/hour.

Convenience – Virtual sessions save you time, travel, and scheduling stress, while still delivering effective, engaging instruction.

Why I Charge $5 Extra for In-Person Tutoring:

Travel Time & Expenses – Traveling to your location requires extra time, fuel, and wear on my vehicle, in addition to the tutoring hour itself.

Transporting Materials – I bring a variety of learning tools (flashcards, manipulatives, assessments, etc.) to ensure sessions are hands-on and effective.

Scheduling Considerations – In-person sessions reduce the number of students I can see in a day, so the $5 fee helps offset that limitation.

Convenience for Families – You get high-quality, personalized instruction brought directly to your home, saving you travel and preparation time.

This small fee ensures I can continue to offer flexible, high-quality tutoring both virtually and in-person.
