I have over 8 years of experience teaching singing to school students, college students, and working professionals. I focus on helping students become confident and expressive performers. In over 8 years of vocal instruction, my goal has remained consistent: to nurture expressive, well-rounded singers by balancing technical growth with emotional resonance. Every student has a different starting point, and my teaching method embraces that individuality with patience and purpose. I begin by building vocal awareness, helping students understand how their instrument works and how to use it safely and efficiently.
We focus on proper breath management, resonance placement, alignment, and vocal registration. From the very first lesson, students learn to engage their body and mind in harmony to support vocal output. I emphasize practical application—scales, warmups, and targeted exercises—paired with real-world musical examples that make the techniques memorable. Once a student is comfortable with core skills, I guide them into deeper exploration: extending range, refining vibrato, shaping vowel purity, and blending registers for seamless transitions. But singing isn’t only about mechanics. I teach students to connect with their material and find authenticity in their vocal delivery.
Through lyric analysis and phrasing work, we uncover the story within the song. Whether it's a Broadway number, a soulful ballad, or a classical aria, I encourage my students to embody the emotion behind the music and share that truth with their audience. My coaching also extends to live performance training. I teach how to engage with an audience, work a stage, handle a microphone, and recover from mistakes with professionalism.
My studio is genre-inclusive, and I often incorporate music chosen by the student, making each lesson both relevant and motivating. I work with everyone from aspiring professionals and advanced vocalists to complete beginners who simply want to feel more confident in their voice. My teaching style is positive, personalized, and built on trust, ensuring each singer has the guidance and space to develop their voice into an expressive, powerful instrument that reflects who they truly are.
