I can teach in online (preferred mode) and offline (if you live in Jaipur). I believe that while explaining if we explain using pictures/ videos/ simulations/hand gestures, then concepts can be grasped very easily. In my teaching career of 2 years at universities, I have used these techniques/methods giving me good feedback from students. The class is intended for Diploma / Undergraduates/ Post-graduates students/ school children (having Physics and Maths as a subject). Recorded sessions will be provided for revision purposes. The courses/modules I teach focus extensively on problem-solving, primarily to deepen the understanding of physics. I can handle various subjects who are preparing for GATE. If interested, I can teach CAD software like CATIA, analysis software like ANSYS Fluent.

  • 1. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Mechanical engineering is all about designing and improving machines, structures, and systems that we use in everyday life. My interest in this field started with my curiosity about how things work, from simple tools to advanced technology. Subjects like strength of materials, engineering mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, graphics and design are quite interesting and we all can relate this with day to day life. If you look into deep, anyone can be surprised and become a fan of mechanical engineering.
  • 2. What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My biggest motivation for choosing to teach is my family's deep connection to education. My grandfather, father, and brother are all teachers, and growing up in this environment inspired me to follow the same path. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge, help students understand complex concepts, and shape future engineers. I find great satisfaction in making difficult topics easier and seeing students grow in their learning. My PhD at IIT Guwahati further strengthened my passion for both engineering and teaching, making it a natural choice for me.
  • 3. How does your work help society?

Being a mechanical engineering tutor helps society by shaping the next generation of engineers who will design and improve the technology we rely on every day. By teaching students the principles of mechanics, design, and innovation, I help them develop problem-solving skills that can be applied to industries like manufacturing, aerospace, energy, and transportation. Well-trained engineers contribute to safer machines, efficient systems, and sustainable solutions for real-world challenges. Through education, I not only pass on technical knowledge but also inspire future engineers to create advancements that benefit society as a whole.
  • 4. If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

My role model is not other than my father because they way he helps the student at any time of the day is very inspiring. Being a teacher I always help the student at my university and also to the students to whom I taught via superprof, I always tell them, you can call or text me and ask your doubt any time of the day even at night also. This also inspire the student to be always helpful and give some positivity of helping other in the society.
  • 5. Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing the guitar, which helps me relax and express creativity through music. I also have a strong interest in stock market analysis, where I study trends and patterns to understand market movements. Additionally, I love reading motivational books, as they provide inspiration and new perspectives on personal and professional growth. These hobbies keep me balanced and continuously learning beyond my academic work.

  • 6. Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

The Day I Became an Accidental Electrician
Back in my PhD days at IIT Guwahati, I was working late in the lab on my supercritical natural circulation loop experiment. It was one of those days when nothing was going right-data wasn't matching, sensors were acting up, and I had already consumed enough chai to fuel a rocket launch.

Then, to make matters worse, one of the heaters in my setup suddenly stopped working. Being the determined researcher that I was (and also too impatient to wait for the lab technician), I decided to fix it myself.

Now, let's be clear-I am a mechanical engineer, not an electrical one. But in that moment, I thought, "How hard can this be?" I grabbed a screwdriver, checked the wiring, and bravely poked at the connection.

Next thing I knew-SPARKS! A bright flash, a loud pop, and I may or may not have let out a scream that could wake up the entire campus. The lab assistant ran in, saw my stunned face and slightly burnt screwdriver, and just shook his head like a disappointed parent.

After a long lecture on why mechanical engineers should NOT attempt electrical repairs, he calmly flipped a switch and fixed the issue in 30 seconds. Thirty. Seconds.

That day, I learned two important lessons:

Respect domain expertise-just because I can fix a machine doesn't mean I should play with wires.

Always let the lab assistant be the hero-they know things that we PhD scholars can't even begin to comprehend.

To this day, whenever I teach my students about heat transfer, I also remind them: "Never underestimate the importance of an electrical engineer."
