About Daniel
Teaching guitar over the past 8 years has allowed me to witness the transformative power of music on people’s lives. Every student I meet has a distinct story and a different way of approaching the instrument, which fuels my passion for crafting lessons that are both personalized and effective. I prioritize building strong fundamentals, including hand positioning, chord shapes, picking patterns, and timing, while weaving in music theory to deepen students’ understanding. I love using real songs as a springboard for learning because it keeps motivation high and makes abstract concepts tangible. One standout experience was working with a middle school student who struggled initially but developed into a confident performer who led a school concert. That growth — from uncertainty to self-assurance — is why I teach. I also encourage students to explore beyond just playing songs: improvisation, composing, and experimenting with different genres help foster creativity and musical independence. I use technology, like loopers and recording tools, to make practice more interactive and rewarding. My lessons are patient, flexible, and student-centered, ensuring that every learner feels supported and challenged at their own pace.
