About Lesley
I have taught students of all ages for seven years now and I love that I can make my students feel confident and supported no matter what their goals are. When I was growing up it was my dream to go to Drama School and I did achieve it! However, it was very difficult and I had a lot of no's before I got my yes. I didn't have a tutor or mentor that knew what would work best, to help me give myself the best possible chance to go to my dream school. I didn't know how to create a professional looking self tape that would get a panel to take notice of me. I will use all my experience and equipment to make you feel as supported, ready and confident as possible regardless of the goal. You can come to me for your LAMDA grades, if you want to go to your dream drama school, or if you'd like to gain more confidence in public speaking at work or school. Whatever your goal, I will help you get as much out of our sessions as you can.

Hello! I'm Lesley and in 2018 I graduated from Performance Preparation Academy. I have since worked in the entertainment industry on stage & screen. I also own and run my own theatre school in Titchfield, Fareham. Lessons are typically 1 hour and I can tailor them to your own needs. We can focus on: - LAMDA grades 1-8. - Drama School preparation. - Self tape workshopping & professional recording. - Acting & voice work tuition. - Acting through song. - Drama school admissions. The private tutoring I have already done has already had success. I have helped students get recalls and into the drama schools GSA, Rose Bruford & Birmingham Conservatoire so far. I do this by workshopping audition monologues and songs then recording them with a professional backdrop and camera equipment over a number of weeks until you are happy. We can conduct our tutoring sessions online or in a studio, I am also able to come to your house if that is something that you would prefer. For home visits I can travel to: Whiteley Fareham Southampton Portsmouth Winchester Studio will be based around Fareham. Lesley and I run Swish, a performing arts group for kids and she also gives 1-1 lessons. She always strives for the best out of her students, to raise their confidence in their own abilities and is incredibly creative and calm in how she teaches.

I’d highly recommend Lesley to anyone looking to audition for drama schools or improve their craft in a safe and fun atmosphere.Back in 2021 Lesley helped me with my application to the UK’s top drama schools - Leeds Conservatoire, Rose Bruford and Guildford School of Acting. Her calm, personable and warm 1-2-1 approach made it a relaxed experience that made me so much more curious about texts and executing high quality self tapes. I was particularly impressed by her attention to detail about thought changes and character motivation - picking nuances in the actor’s text that I hadn’t seen before. I went on to receive recalls at all three schools from my self tapes with Lesley and recently graduated from Guildford School of Acting on the Actor Musician course, an achievement for which I am hugely thankful to Lesley.
