About Céline
- Native French - 11 years of experience: 2 years in a university in Canada, 2 years for Alliance française, 2 years in a private institute in Oxford and 5 years as a freelance tutor. - Patient, passionate and understanding. I studied English literature and French as a foreign language at university. I was inspired by my favourite language professors and became a calm and enthusiastic tutor. During my 11 years of experience teaching French, I have met so many people with different goals, personalities and backgrounds that I am now able to adapt my teaching to pretty much anyone! Also, I write posts to explain grammar for a language learning platform. If you have a question about grammar, I'll give you a concise answer and make sure you understand. Whether you want to learn French for travel or work purposes, romantic or cultural reasons, I am glad you are ready to make time to learn French. I'll do my best to help you speak with fluency and keep you entertained!

Here is my top tip: "Lâchez prise !" Yes, let go and see the results! Don’t worry about making mistakes as they are key to one's learning journey and I certainly don't mind them. You may think some rules make no sense at all. Lâchez prise ! French can be odd but that's the beauty of it. You are afraid to mispronounce a word? Lâchez prise ! Worst case scenario, we'll both have a good laugh. Your tutorials will be organised, entertaining and empowering. I promise you'll learn something new each lesson and you'll do all the talking! Perfect! Céline is an excellent, fun and thoughtful tutor. She is really encouraging and I find her lessons very enjoyable. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their french!
Perfect! Céline is an outstanding teacher of the French language. There are three areas I feel set her apart from other tutors: 1) she took time at the beginning to really listen to my learning goals, and has tailored our lessons to achieve them; 2) she adapts each lesson to the venue, its surroundings and current events - e.g. a fun exercise on navigating Oxford and its traffic(!) in French; and 3) she creates a safe space for making lots of mistakes, returning to areas of improvement multiple times in multiple lessons to make sure you've learnt it. A friendly and professional teacher - highly recommended!

Céline is an excellent tutor, who I cannot recommend highly enough. She was excellent at tailoring her lessons to my ability level, and zeroing in on areas for improvement that very quickly made a difference to my confidence and ability. She's also very friendly and encouraging!
Céline is a fantastic French tutor. Her mother tongue is French but speaks exquisite English which enables her to explain everything so clearly. After only 20 classes I was able to live and work in France!!
She is kind, smiley, friendly and professional which creates an environment perfect for learning.
I can't sing her praises enough.Céline is an excellent teacher. Her lessons are always interesting and enjoyable. She prepares a wide range of activities which include consolidating skills recently practised and introducing new materials to work towards our goals. I have made a great deal of progress with Céline and the lessons pass so quickly because they are always absorbing, varied and fun.
