Ume is an excellent tutor, reliable, supportive and professional. Our son is in year 6 and he finds it extremely helpful that she explains step by step how to solve complex Maths problems logically. She has a great understating of how to identify weak areas and then adapt her teaching method and the content of her lessons accordingly. From the first session, our son felt more confident and encouraged because she explains each question in great detail to make sure he understands it. Her PowerPoint slides for the lessons are EXCELLENT, very thoughtfully put together, clear and concise showing detailed workouts for each question. She also gives homework which is great!

We greatly appreciate all of her hard work in preparing the lessons with outstanding learning content, regular tests and assessments and constructive feedback through arranging parent meetings which are very helpful in tracking our son’s progress. She also sends us reminders before each lesson and updates our son’s progress after each lesson. We are extremely satisfied and happy with her teaching style and our son looks forward to his Maths lessons each week. Urdu is not our first language. My mum, sisters (doing A-levels and GCSE) and I embark on a journey to learn how to speak Urdu from Ume. She is a wonderful teacher. She prepares her lesson using great Urdu learning content, quizzes and includes interactive activities throughout the lesson which we found very helpful and thoroughly enjoy. Ume is tutoring our son for the 11plus Maths exam and she obviously has a thorough understanding of the subject and the exam process. She puts a lot of effort into preparing the lesson and her lessons are outstanding, very well planned, organised and structured. Our son reported more confidence in understanding the subject and how to approach exam-style questions. She sets up regular exam-style mock tests to identify the areas where he needs more help, provides detailed feedback and updates his progress regularly. Excellent tutor - Since Ume has been tutoring my daughter (for Year 11 GCSE maths) her grade has gone from grade U to achieving grade B in one year. As a result of these sessions, my daughter is much more enthusiastic and motivated and looks forward to her sessions. She sets homework after each session that helps to consolidate what’s she learned. She also makes sure to develop exam skills by doing regular tests and also by looking at past paper questions. I also get regular updates from Ume about my daughters progress. Overall Ume is very knowledgeable, thorough and knows how to rekindle enthusiasm for the subject. Ume, has proven to be a very professional and flexible tutor. She regularly reminds parents of classes, organises feedback sessions and set's a learning plan which is shared with parents a week before each tutoring session. Ume has also made changes to scheduled classes on short-notice which has been very much appreciated as it has enabled our eldest daughter to be flexible with her demands for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. Ume currently teaches two of our three daughters and both of them have expressed great elation in having been introduced to their favourite tutor ever (they have had a few).
