About Yasmin
I’m a violinist with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Studies (Violin). My journey has always been about blending strong classical foundations with fresh, modern approaches. I love showing students how technology can unlock new ways of learning and expressing themselves. In my lessons, I use slow-down apps, DAWs, and MIDI notation to help students break down complex passages and understand music from multiple perspectives. Video feedback is a key tool too—it gives learners a chance to watch themselves play and refine posture, bowing, and tone with clarity. Beyond technique, I’m passionate about teaching genres that expand what the violin can be. Jazz Violin, Rock Strings, and Indie Folk are some of my favourite styles to explore with students. Improvisation is one of my strengths, and I create custom backing tracks that let students practice soloing, rhythm, and expressive freedom in a supportive setting. I believe every student deserves a learning path that matches their creativity, structure, and personal goals. My approach is flexible yet forward-thinking, always balancing tradition with innovation. Together, we’ll focus on skill, confidence, and the joy of making music.
