  • Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

My first experience using a computer was around 2006, and it was my grandfather's old, white desktop. One day, my father asked me to open Notepad and type out the multiplication tables from 2 to 12. I remember searching all over the keyboard for a multiplication symbol (×) but couldn't find it. At first, I was relieved-no symbol meant I didn't have to type them out! But then my father explained that I should just use the letter 'X' instead of the symbol. I hadn't thought of that since I was expecting a specific math symbol, not a letter.
Aside from typing tasks, I also discovered Paint on my own. I spent hours drawing shapes, coloring them in, and experimenting with different tools. It felt a bit like magic-I could make pictures appear and change them with just the click of a mouse! I also remember playing small games on MiniClip, which was very exciting at the time. Back then, I didn't question how any of it worked; I just accepted these computer programs as a fun, magical part of my day.
  • What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

The shift from bulky desktop computers to ultra-portable, high-performance laptops and smartphones stands out as a major milestone in my eyes. This mobility revolution made technology more accessible, placing immense computational power directly in our pockets. Looking ahead, I believe the emergence of widespread artificial intelligence-especially in everyday devices and services-will be the next great turning point. AI and machine learning have the potential to personalize our digital experiences, automate mundane tasks, and enhance our understanding of complex problems, ultimately changing how we interact with technology at every level.
  • Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

My expertise lies in computer programming and software development, with a special focus on languages like Java, Python, C#, as well as web technologies such as HTML, PHP, and others. I also have experience with languages like C++, Kotlin, and Swift, which enables me to approach problem-solving from different angles and create solutions for a wide range of platforms-be it desktop, mobile, or the web.

What drives my interest in coding is the sense of creativity it allows. Coding isn't just about following rigid instructions; it's a form of expression where you can build tools and experiences that didn't exist before. Whether it's a simple script to automate repetitive tasks, a dynamic website that connects people, or a mobile app that enhances productivity, the ability to shape ideas into reality through code feels empowering.

More broadly, programming skills are integral to the computer world because they form the backbone of modern technology. Virtually every service we rely on-from online communication tools and social media platforms to gaming engines and data analysis pipelines-is built on code. Without programmers to design, develop, and maintain these systems, our digital society would come to a standstill.

Beyond personal passion, I truly enjoy teaching these skills to others. Watching someone go from confusion to clarity, guiding them through difficult concepts until they achieve that "aha" moment, is deeply rewarding. Teaching coding not only helps others gain valuable, in-demand skills, but also ensures that more people can contribute to and benefit from the technological innovations shaping our future.
  • Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

I'm certainly inspired by the big names-Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg-because they each contributed to shaping the computing landscape in distinct ways. However, I'm also inspired by individuals who work quietly behind the scenes: open-source contributors who collaborate from all over the world to create robust and free software, or the teachers and mentors who make technology accessible to everyone. These "unsung heroes" often have a massive impact on the direction and inclusiveness of the tech community.
  • What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

I would tell them that feeling overwhelmed is completely normal when you start learning something new, especially in a field as complex as IT. However, complexity often arises from the unfamiliar. With patience, the right guidance, and consistent practice, what once seemed complicated can become second nature. Think of it like learning a new language or mastering a musical instrument-initially, it's daunting, but over time, the patterns become clear, and you gain confidence and skill.
  • What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

Outside of the computer world, I'm passionate about photography and music. I love to capture landscapes, cityscapes, and candid moments of people interacting with technology in their daily lives. Music, on the other hand, helps me relax and fuels my creativity; I enjoy listening to the guitar and exploring different genres. Both of these interests complement my work with computers, reminding me that creativity and problem-solving are universal skills that can be applied to any area of life.
