About Matthew
Qualified level 1 ISA surf instructor of 5+ years and having surfed for 15+ years. I ran a surf school for 3 years so know the ins and outs of the surf industry. I am also a marine biologist and freshwater ecologist which has strengthened my already deep ocean knowledge. I am also in the process of completing my ISA level 2 qualification as well as my supervisor and Stand-up Paddleboard qualification.

My lessons are more geared towards the newbies to the progressive beginners.
I come with a heap of experience having taught 1,000's how to surf in the UK and New Zealand. My lessons not only provide you with the fundamentals that you need in order to begin your surfing journey, but are delivered in a way that is fully flexible to everyone.
Lessons can range from technique to surf etiquette to improved ocean safety and surf forecasting.
