About Conan
Over the past 9 years, I have been fortunate to work with students of all skill levels, guiding them through their guitar journey with passion and dedication. Music is a universal language, and I love showing my students how they can use the guitar to express themselves and connect with others. My approach to teaching combines the fundamentals of music theory, practical technique, and creative expression, allowing students to develop well-rounded musical skills while also fostering their individual creativity. I take great pride in seeing my students gain confidence as they progress, whether they’re learning their first chord or tackling more advanced pieces. One of the most gratifying moments of my teaching career was helping a group of students form a band and watching them perform live in front of an audience. It was incredible to see them grow not just as musicians but as individuals, gaining self-assurance, collaboration skills, and a sense of pride in their accomplishments. Music has a transformative effect on students, and I’ve seen how learning the guitar helps them develop focus, discipline, and emotional resilience. It’s truly a joy to witness the personal and musical growth of my students, and I’m committed to providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed.

As a guitar teacher with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, my goal is to create a personalized, enriching experience for every student I teach. I believe in starting with the fundamentals—building a strong foundation in posture, rhythm, finger strength, and fretboard knowledge—so that students are equipped to play confidently and without discomfort. Once these skills are established, I adapt lessons to match each student’s musical preferences and goals. Whether they’re drawn to rock, blues, jazz, classical, or contemporary music, I ensure the material aligns with what excites them most.
I also emphasize the importance of music theory, making it practical by using real examples from the songs students are learning. This approach helps students understand how theory enhances their playing and creativity. For students interested in improvisation or composition, I offer exercises that encourage exploration and self-expression. I also support students who want to perform by building their confidence and refining their stage presence. To supplement lessons, I incorporate technology such as digital tuners, metronomes, and interactive software, keeping students engaged and helping them track their progress.
