About Priyamwada
The students I have taught have felt at ease with me and have gone on to do exceptionally well. I have not taken any private tuition so far but I love engaging with my students and would like to connect to as many new ones as possible.

In my third year of B-Arch, I had the good fortune of having Priyamwada Maám as faculty in my design studio.
The best way to describe her style would be a nurturer with a sharp eye- ever kind and patient and yet critical and practical to guide one's intent and approach to design.
Design is a complex, demanding subject, that can often make one get lost in the nuances. i happened to be under one such spells where I was unable to come up with a tangible solution, getting caught in a cyclic process. As a result I didn't have anything to show in class on one of the design studio sessions. I went and sat at the desk farthest back from the faculty in juvenile hopes for my turn to not come. I remember vividly how Priyamwada maám walked up to where I was sitting, and sternly but considerately talked to me, reaffirming her belief in my skills as a designer and with that discussion, helping me understand the best way to approach the design problem at hand. Her attention to each student and her pragmatic and insightful eye, make her one of the most cherished teachers I have had.
I have gotten to know her as a very strong person, with immense depth in analyzing both design and people. She perceives the unique ability each student has and helps one hone them into their own personal strengths. I have only ever heard good feedback even from my peers, which reaffirms my respect for her ability to concentrate on every student with an equally deep interest."You are not being fair to yourself." These very words were often used by Madam Priyamwada to me and these words still strike a chord whenever I feel that I am not giving my 100 Percent to my work.
I feel very honored for getting this opportunity to write something about Ma'am Priyamwada because I have been meaning to write to her anyway for awhile as to how she impacted my life.
She is a real educationist in its true sense. Ma'am Priyamwada has her way of making you feel bad if you are falling short on your work but at the same time making you want to do better. She made me believe in myself when I was completely lost. She does it effortlessly without you or her knowing about it at the time. Now when I look back, I know that she played a big part in changing the direction of my life for the better. " Madam Priyamwada, I would like to say that you are my muse. "Priyamwada ma'am was my architectural design professor at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Her detailed critique of my projects pushed me to excel in design. Her biggest asset is the patience with which she cares and nurtures each and every student of hers.
Extremely knowledgeable about architecture and design, very experienced, and very patient when working with her students. Explains things easily and well, and works very hard to get her students to maximize their potential - both professionally and personally. Highly recommended!
It has been 6 years knowing such a wonderful and an encouraging teacher like Piyu Mam. She started teaching us in our 3rd Year of Architecture at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. She is beyond anything like the usual array of teachers. It felt like she always had a motherly touch with her process. AND SHE TAUGHT WELL!! I have not learned so much in a semester since she taught me. Even though I just passed out of college, she had always been the priority for inspiration and knowledge.
The best there is. Yet.Having been taught from her in the past, I can say that she is a great teacher with the quality of being sensitive and open to new ideas and thoughts of students, a quality which is most desirable in a design teacher. With a systematic approach to design and a huge bank of knowledge in the field, she is not only a great teacher but also a great human being.
A lovely teacher... with the nature where student is actually pushed towards her to gain knowledge... a wonderful guide and mentor...
Priyamwada ma'am is a wonderful person and one of the greatest teachers I have had. She understood and supported me through thick and thin during the third year design studio (unfortunately, that was the only time I had her as my mentor). She is one of those professors with whom your connection goes way beyond the usual faculty- student relationship.
I had the chance to have Priyamvada ma'am in my Architecture design studio in third year. She has been one of the most patient teachers concerned about students not only academically but general welfare too. Her inputs have taught me the value of human centric design. All the best ma'am!
Because she is.
It is a little uncomfortable to write a recommendation for a teacher as a student, especially for one whom i am most grateful. She has not just been a sensitive teacher with a mountain of patience, but also pushed me with her belief in my work which had helped me to pull through the difficult times during the course of my college. She has a zen like understanding in how to keep a design simple with due importance to social and local relevance, which at the same time emerges as a bold image in global context. I have been proud to have her as my teacher and cherish the exchanges we had in the design studio.Piyu ma'am as she is known fondly by her students, is one of my favourite teachers. She taught us to design in our first year in B.Arch. She is a well known and eminent architect, who understands the students' difficulties and problems. She is very patient in listening to students' design proposals and guides them in the correct path. She is more than a teacher to us...
Priyamwada ma'am taught us design in 1st and 3rd year of B.arch course at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. We were lucky to have had the opportunity of being taught by such a passionate teacher. She always explained concepts with great clarity and everything taught by her has stayed with us. She encourages her students to think out of the box and question. She guides us to the answers and encourages us to find our own solutions. I would recommend her to superprof members for her experience, passion for teaching and her ability to connect to her students and encourage them.
I have known Priyamwada Ma'am from my study as a student of School of Planning and Architecture in the Bachelor's of Architecture course. I found her a gentle and supportive professor whose main style of teaching was largely based on encouragement. She is very concerned with the well-being of her students, and made it a point to keep in touch with me even after I graduated. I was taught Design by her, and I found her ideas very practical and refreshing, and her method of providing critique very positive.
I highly recommend her to the other members of this group and wish her the best for any of her endeavors.Priyamwada ma'am, or Piyu ma'am as we fondly call her has got to be one of the best design teachers I've ever come across! Her insightful and expert critique has helped me push forward and exceed even my expectations on a couple of occasions. Oh, and one thing is for sure, she will always take time out for you despite her schedule. What a gem of a teacher!
Priyamwada ma'am has been my teacher for architectural design in SPA, Delhi. She is a wonderful teacher with great passion for teaching. The lessons that I've learnt from her will remain with me throughout my life. She is always willing to put in extra effort to make sure that her students do well. Definitely one of the best teachers I have had.
She is an excellent and caring teacher. She takes the time to get to know her student to bring out the unique designer in him/her. She has a sixth sense that allows her to understand what you intend to do and she guides you on how to go about it. She has a strong aesthetic and social sense, great design and planning skills and fantastic teaching skills. Highly recommended!
She's amazing when it comes to explain and she literally listen and understand dirty the child's concept the main design idea..
And she teaches that it's not about approvals it's always about the process the idea and the result.
She's really good with both ; the design as well as the detailsPriyamwada Ma'am is the most supportive and motivating mentor there is. She was my design guide through 1st year of Architecture and now in my 4th year she is still my "go-to" teacher. She has always encouraged her students to put in their best efforts and guides them towards maximum results. Alongside being an exceptional teacher she is also an amazing person.
I was her student
A teacher should be someone who is comfortable to talk to, cause not everyone can walk up to most of the faculties, and ma'am is the kind of teacher who makes intraction easier and comfortable. She approachable.
She knows what she is doin nd is best at it . ????View more recommendations
