JavaScript is the programming language understood by browsers. It is therefore an essential language, which is very difficult to do without.
But it can also be used instead of many other languages to code web applications as a whole, desktop applications and mobile applications!
Learning javascript is therefore an excellent choice, including as a first approach to programming.
I have dedicated most of my developer career to javascript. I followed its evolution and I still practice it daily without getting tired of it, notably through the Typescript superset, the Vue.js, React.js and Koa.js frameworks.
These frameworks are outside the scope of this course. But the content of this course, intended for beginners and initiates, is dense, complete and includes:
- the syntax of the javascript language and the algorithmic
- its application in the Node.js environment
- its application in the browser
