  • Kolkata Knight Riders won the winning title in 2012 and then again in 2014. Known as the third strongest IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders have set the exceptional benchmark for the other teams by winning 14 different matches consecutively.
  • Sunrisers Hyderabad came into existence fairly later in the IPL series as the initial sessions were played by a team called Deccan Chargers Hyderabad, who was then replaced by Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team won the winner title in 2016 and announced themselves as runner-up in 2018.
  • Punjab Kings, previously known as Kings XI Punjab, changed their name recently for IPL 2021 have been in the finals once. The team has performed well in most seasons but as per the current captain, they are putting in extra efforts to become the winning team soon.
  • Rajasthan Royals, led by Shane Warne, won the IPL trophy in 2008 which is the year IPL began. The team has been a consistent performer in all seasons of IPL, with closing at the third position on the leaderboard in 2018.
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore, led by the most popular cricket captain at present, Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore have been a popular name in most IPL seasons as the team consists of Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers, and Virat Kohli himself.
