About Betty
I am an artist and illustrator (and animator - occasionally)! I am currently studying Art psychotherapy MA at Roehampton University and it is my dream to be creative alongside others! I want to share my knowledge and little hacks from my art journey and ultimately help others use this amazing tool of art as almost another mode of expression - another language, as it has been for me as a person with a hybridised cultural identity. Art is really meaningful to me and also fun, to be honest!

Art is all about seeing and honest expression! I want my students to enjoy drawing and mark making by exploring with guidance to find your own personal style and voice. I will help you draw confidently and meet you at whatever level you are at! Beginning: We’ll start going over the styles of artistic expression you would like to develop in, and go over any fundamentals (shape, outline, form, tonal values and shade) using the tools you have. Personalised plan: We’ll go over some of your past work and work from there to build up a plan together! Ultimately I want you to be able to feel comfortable in drawing and creating art without feeling it has to be ‘perfect’ from the beginning. PS. I specialise in impressionist style art and I love painting faces!
