It doesn't matter whether you're an absolute beginner or an experienced guitar player, play blues guitar or face-melting rock guitar solos, you're bound to find something on their website.
Of course, we're not here to wax lyrical about TrueFire itself, this is an article on blogs to help you find your way around a fretboard. Fortunately, their blog is as good as their website and will help you learn licks, pentatonic scales, basic and advanced picking techniques, and everything from power chords to advanced jazz guitar technique.

This guitar website has plenty of articles, videos, and podcasts. The podcasts are particularly great if, like me, you don't like reading articles on a smartphone screen. However, it does mean you won't be able to listen to your music at the same time!

There are also a lot of useful how-to guides on guitar maintenance, modding, gigging, and recording your own music which is great if you start your own band and are trying to get that EP finished!

You're probably starting to see a pattern emerging here. With the advent of the internet, many print publications have been turning to the internet as it's cheaper than going to print and easier to publish and update whenever you want.
Whether you want to learn how to play the guitar, get advice on the next instrument to buy, or just don't feel like paying for a guitar teacher, Acoustic Guitar Magazine's website and blog is worth your time.
As you have probably gathered, this is not the place to go if you're interested in the electric guitar. However, if amps aren't your thing, this is the place to go!
If you're not familiar with Reddit, you should be. Reddit calls itself “the front page of the internet” and is an invaluable resource for a huge number of different things. Basically, users post content and comments to Reddit and other users then either vote it up or down.
Positive votes (upvotes) push the content towards the top of lists and negative votes (downvotes) push content to the bottom. This means that Reddit, in theory, is populated with the most valuable and appropriate content depending on the Subreddit (or category) it's found in.
When it comes to guitars, there's a Guitar subreddit where users post relevant content and you're bound to find the answers to your questions.
That said, Reddit can take some getting used to and isn't for everyone.

Learning to play the guitar can take a lot of time, especially if you don't know how to read sheet music or tabs or don't know your open chords from your barre chords. However, a private tutor can help you with everything from choosing a new guitar to learning how to tune your guitar.
