Having spent many years travelling the world for concerts, masterclasses, education and musical learning the violin should feel inspiring, rewarding, and even fun — that’s what I aim to bring to every lesson. I adapt my teaching style to each student: for beginners, it’s about building confidence and enjoying those first sounds, while for more advanced players, I focus on technique, musicality, and performance skills that take their playing to the next level. Most lessons run around 60 minutes, but for younger beginners we can keep them shorter so focus and enjoyment stay high. With over 8 years of teaching experience, I’ve worked with everyone from 5-year-olds picking up the violin for the first time to university-level students preparing for auditions and competitions. My training at the Yehudi Menuhin School, the New England Conservatory, and the Yale School of Music (two Master’s degrees) means I can draw on a wide range of methods to suit each student’s needs. I welcome students of all ages and levels — whether you’re dreaming of playing your first piece, joining an orchestra, or polishing a concerto. My goal is to make lessons motivating and to help every student feel proud of their progress.
