I usually divide my sessions in three parts.
First part is exercises for left and right hand and for synchronizations so that you can easily play and move your hands around the guitar.
Second part is theory and concepts regarding general music in which we cover topics like Notes, chords, triads, scales and much more.
Finally in third part we apply what we have learned by learning how to play songs. I cover a wide variety of music covering both Indian and Western songs.
I have been teaching western music for 6 years in institutes, colleges and universities as well as, as private lessons. I play live, work for studios and recordings. My method, not only will help you in learning how to play, but will also help you in understanding the concepts and music in general.

PS: He knows what he is doing!
Kind of understanding he possessess in teaching and in music overall is just overwhelming (even if you happen to not be from a music background).
